WYMAN WITH IMPRESSIVE RESULTS IN DAYTONA SPORTBIKE DEBUT

Macedon, NY (September 8, 2009) - Kyle Wyman competed in his first AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike race at New Jersey Motorsports Park this past weekend. The new-comer finished a strong 16th on Saturday and backed up his performance on Sunday with a 14th place finish in race two in the ultra competitive class.

“I learned so much this weekend,” said the 19 year old, “The (Daytona) Sportbike class is so tough, and it really forced me to step up my game at New Jersey. I was able to have some clean starts despite all the wreckage in turn one of both races and everything worked out in my favor. I’m just really glad I got the opportunity to show what I can do in the class, and am more than pleased with my results.”

Wyman To Compete In Daytona Sportbike Class At NJMP

Macedon, NY (September 1, 2009) - Kyle Wyman will compete in the AMA Pro Daytona Sportbike class this weekend at the AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Kyle will race the Harv’s Harley-Davidson sponsored #133 Yamaha YZF-R6. Kyle will not compete in AMA Pro Supersport at NJMP.

The national champion flat track racer made the switch to road racing in 2008, and has been acquainting himself with the new discipline over the past 18 months. He will take the next step in the learning curve by making the move to Daytona Sportbike.

“Daytona Sportbike racing is ultimately where I wanted to end up this year. My goal was to keep learning and establish a good base for my riding,” said Wyman, “then my next goal is to maximize the value of each lap on the track, and I think moving to Daytona Sportbike will give me the opportunity to latch on to people and keep making progress.”

Look for Kyle back on the Supersport grid for the AMA Pro Supersport Shootout at Daytona International Speedway in October.

VIRGINIA INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY RESULTS AND VIDEO

Macedon, NY (August 25, 2009) - Kyle had a very successful WERA weekend at the Cycle Jam nationals at Virginia International Raceway. Teaming up with Jason DiSalvo for the WERA National Endurance series posed a challenge for two riders who had never competed in an endurance before. The goal was to finish the race, keep the bike on two wheels, and gain a wealth of experience with plenty of track time on the 2.25 mile circuit. They would compete on a Team Hammer M4 EMGO Suzuki GSX-R 600. READ MORE

BAD LUCK CONTINUES FOR KYLE AT MID-OHIO, TRAVIS PLACES RESPECTABLY

Macedon, New York (July 21, 2009)
- With Kyle’s first time at Mid-Ohio and Travis’ first AMA Pro race, the Wyman Brothers had a lot on their plate going into this past weekend’s event.

Kyle’s weekend ended in disaster when a rider made contact with him going into the final turn of the 17 lap, 40 mile race and caused a violent highside putting Kyle over the bars and ultimately into the air-fence.

“It was like someone hit the eject button,” said Kyle, “Luckily I’m not hurt all that bad and neither is the other rider but it’s a bummer being one corner away from a top 5 result after such a long weekend.” READ MORE

Two Brothers Set to Compete in AMA Pro Supersport at Mid-Ohio

Macedon, NY (July 13, 2009) – The AMA Pro Supersport grid will include not one but two of the total three Wyman Brothers of the WBR race team. Though Kyle has been competing since Daytona, Travis , 17, will make his AMA Pro Supersport debut at this weekend’s event at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Travis, former member of the 2008 Red Bull AMA U.S. Rookies Cup, hopped on a 600 in the beginning of this year and is ready to take it to the pro level. “I can’t wait to get out there at Mid-Ohio. School is out now and I’ve been watching all my former team mates from last year competing in Supersport this season and am looking forward to joining my brother and them on the grid this weekend.” He will be competing on a Suzuki GSX-R600 while Kyle continues his efforts on the Yamaha YZF R6. WYMAN BATTLES MECHANICAL ISSUES AT ROAD AMERICA

Macedon, New York (June 8th, 2009) - Kyle Wyman had an abrupt end to his weekend when a mechanical took him out of the AMA Supersport race on Sunday. Wyman was running in 4th place when his Yamaha YZF-R6 started showing symptoms of a soon-to-be blown transmission.

"I really had a terrible start; I was about 12th or so going into turn one," said the New Yorker. "There was a whole lot of bumping and banging going on in turn 3 and 5 and everything worked out to where I found myself in 4th going up the hill into turn six. I started noticing a noise in 4th gear throughout the lap. As it worsened I just kept on it until lap two going into turn five the thing just exploded during my downshifts. I had to pull off the side as I saw flames creeping up my leg."

After qualifying 8th, Wyman was credited with 19th place. "I was really bummed. I felt much stronger than I had all weekend and was looking forward to a really fun race," said Wyman. "We'll just keep pushing forward until Mid-Ohio. I've never ridden there, so I'm really looking forward to learning another track."

WBR Preview of Road America

After an eventful weekend at Barber, Kyle is ready to climb back up the points standings in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin this weekend. He dropped from 2nd to 5th place after a 14th place finish, but hopes to ride back up into the top 5 at the longest track on the circuit at 4.048 miles.

Kyle has never ridden at this particular track, so the Thursday test day should be a productive one, learning all 14 corners of the circuit and getting the bike set up with Crew Chief Don Finelli. Notorious for its stagnant downpours, Elkhart Lake can promise some rain riding at some point in the weekend. It should be an interesting race for riders and fans alike! Wyman Climbs to 2nd in AMA Supersport East Series

With the Suzuki Superbike Showdown at Road Atlanta in the books, Kyle Wyman has shown consistency in the first two rounds of the AMA Pro Supersport series. After a 4th place finish in the season opener at Daytona International Speedway, Wyman led the race and came away with a 6th place finish in Round 2. The wet event in the middle of the race caused a group of riders to go down as well as a red flag, but the race was restarted after a 20 minute delay with a sunny sky.  READ MORE

WBR at Virginia International Raceway

Alton, VA was the next stop for Kyle, Travis and Cody this past weekend for the first round of the WERA Sportsman Series in the northeast. With temperatures plummeting into the 20’s overnight it was a rather cool, but dry, race weekend for the three brothers. Kyle, searching for some quality track time before the next AMA national at Road Atlanta, went to VIR with a relaxed state of mind while the younger of the two went to keep shaking off some of the winter cobwebs. Travis, 2008 Red Bull Rookie, spent this weekend on only his second outing on his GSX-R600 while Cody continued his progress on the RS125 machines. The cold nights offered a frigid track for the morning practice sessions which took until after lunch time to get up to comfortable temperature. Saturday brought the 16-lap solo races to the schedule where Kyle and Travis competed on their 600cc machines in the Mediumweight Expert class. Gridded up in the rear of the pack, Kyle was able to reach 6th place and Travis was able to reach 21st before a red flag due to a large accident brought the race to an end after only 3 laps.  READ MORE
